The danger of exalting the wisdom of man instead of the wisdom of God
Here is the danger of exalting man in our hearts. If we get the wisdom of man before us as the wisdom of God, we are led astray by the foolishness of man’s wisdom. Here is the great danger of many in Battle Creek. They have not an experience for themselves. They have not been in the habit of prayerfully considering for themselves, with unprejudiced, unbiased judgment, questions and subjects that are new, which are liable to arise. They wait to see what Bro. Aldrich thinks. If he dissents, that is all that is needed. The evidence in their minds then is positive that it is all of no account whatever. This class is not small; yet for all their numbers are large, it does not change the fact that they are weak-minded through long yielding to the enemy, inexperienced, and will always be sickly as babes, walking by others’ light, living on others’ experience, feeling as others feel, acting as others act. They act as though they had not an individuality. Their identity is submerged in others. They are merely shadows of others whom they think about right. These will all fail of everlasting life unless they become sensible of their wavering character, and correct it. They will be unable to cope with the perils of the last days. They will possess no stamina to resist the Devil; for they do not know that it is he. Some one must be at their side to inform them whether it is a foe approaching, or a friend. They are not spiritual, therefore spiritual things are not discerned. They are not wise in those things which relate to the kingdom of God. None, young or old, are excusable in trusting to another to have an experience for them. Said the angel, “Cursed is man who trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm.” A noble self-reliance is needed in the Christian experience and warfare.
Men, women, and youth, God requires you to possess moral courage, steadiness of purpose, fortitude and perseverance, minds which will investigate, and prove, and try, for themselves before receiving or rejecting, minds that cannot take the assertions of another, but will study and weigh evidence, take it to the Lord in prayer, and flee to Him who has invited them to come. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.” Ellen G. White Pamphlets PH097 p.18-20

The Deception Of Leroy Froom And His Book Evangelism
The deceived who try and convince us that Ellen White changed also
have agree that God lied to her and His remnant for many decades. No one
in their right mind would dare make such a claim! New light CANNOT
contradict old light or the old light was a LIE from God. A change from
non-Trinitarian to Trinitarian is a total backflip and can NEVER be
called progressive truth.
Sadly, Froom eventually managed to convince the Seventh day
Adventist Church with these misunderstood quotes that Ellen White had
become a Trinitarian. But he had to wait until the death of Ellen White
and all the pioneers as he could never have achieved this change while
they were still alive.
The deception of Froom was so successful that most believe that
the quotes called “EV” or “Evangelism” are from a book written by Ellen
White. But it was compiled by Froom in 1946 which was 30 years after the
death of Ellen White. Note that the headings, subheadings and bolded
texts before the quotes in his book are NOT her words, and some included
the word “Trinity” which she never wrote!
These quotes are typically called EV 615-EV 617 or Evangelism 615-617.
Ellen White actually taught that the “Holy Spirit” is the “Spirit
of God” coming to us through His Son, and hence she frequently wrote
the Holy Spirit is the “SPIRIT OF CHRIST.” For example, “We want the
HOLY SPIRIT, which is JESUS CHRIST.” — (E.G. White, Lt66, April 10,
1894)
But many today are so indoctrinated with a Trinitarian mindset,
that they mistakenly believe that the quotes Froom compiled and put in
one place imply the Holy Spirit is a third being.
But Ellen White was referring to the “SPIRIT OF CHRIST,” not a third being. Read More
Was LeRoy Froom A Freemason?
Although William Miller was a Mason, few SDA’s have every heard this
historic fact. It is another example of how church history has not been
fully explained or honestly addressed by the Adventists. Here is a
long known source:
"It was here [Poultney, Vermont] that Miller became a member of the Masonic fraternity, in which his perseverance, if nothing else, was manifested; for he advanced to the highest degree which the lodges in the country, or in any in that region, could confer."
Sylvester Bliss, Memoirs of William Miller, pages 21-22 (1853)
"At the age of 23, in 1803, he married Lucy Smith and they set up housekeeping in Poultney, Vermont. There was a large library in this town and Miller spent much time there. His ability to write verse made him popular at public occasions. He joined the Literary Society and also became a Mason."
LeRoy Froom, The Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers, vol. 4, page 456.
SDA’s Anti-Mason
By the time the SDA’s had become organized, most Christian denominations were anti-Mason, and so too were the Adventists. Their views were normative for that period.
In 1859, the Review and Herald published an article titled, “Is Freemasonry Compatible with present Truth?” The answer was no. Listen to the author, J H Waggoner, the father of EJ Waggoner of 1888 fame, make this point:
“The boasted universality of masonry makes it necessary to exclude the name of Christ from prayers, otherwise they would be fitted only for a class, and hence be local and not general. He who joins in a prayer where the name of Christ is intentionally omitted to gratify another who denies Christ, certainly compromises his christianity, and “has denied the faith.” This should lead every Christian to avoid such a connection.
J. H. W. Review and Herald, September 15, 1859.
Ellen White also makes it clear:
"Those who stand under the blood-stained banner of Prince Immanuel cannot be united with the Free Masons or with any secret organization. The seal of the living God will not be placed upon anyone who maintains such a connection after the light of truth has shone upon his pathway." Letter 21, 1893.
Conclusion
It is very unlikely that Froom would be a Mason. However, more research needs to be done before this issue can be fully resolved . The SDA’s were clearly anti-Mason, and Froom had to have known this fact. However, considering that William Miller, the Father of the Advent Movement, was a Mason, what would it matter if Froom has some association with the Masons? Perhaps someone, who was a Mason, gave him these grave sites?
The problem with Froom is not that he was a Mason, (if he was), but that he did not understand the Gospel. While Froom was one of the most published and dogmatic of the 20th century SDA theologians, his understanding of the Gospel was very poor. Moreover, his official history of 1888, entitled “Movement of Destiny,” is a very dishonest and harmful apologetic that helped pave the way for the tragedy of Glacier View.
So Froom is part of the problem and one reason why the SDA’s are so confused about both theology and church history. All Experts

Pope Francis: “Never been such a clear need for science” to protect the planet
By Brady Dennis November 29 at 4:32 PM
Pope Francis this week implored world leaders not to postpone the
implementation of global environmental pacts, an appeal that appeared
aimed at President-elect Donald Trump’s vows to end the United States’
leading role in combating climate change.
The pope’s remarks came
during a gathering of scientists at the Vatican, at which he said there
has “never been such a clear need for science” to guide human actions
to safeguard the future of the planet.
“It is worth noting that
international politics has reacted weakly — albeit with some
praiseworthy exceptions — regarding the concrete will to seek the common
good and universal goods, and the ease with which well-founded
scientific opinion about the state of our planet is disregarded,” the
pontiff said, according to a translation provided
by the Vatican. He added that the “‘distraction’ or delay” in
implementing global agreements on the environment demonstrates how
politics have become submissive “to a technology and an economy which
seek profit above all else.”
Trump,
who is set to become one of the only world leaders to question the
notion of global warming, has vowed to “cancel” U.S. participation in
the international climate accord signed last year in Paris, in which
countries pledged to cut carbon dioxide emissions sharply in coming
years. In addition, Trump has called for rolling back pollution
regulations on the oil, gas and coal industries and shrinking the role
of the Environmental Protection Agency.
This week’s comments echoed an encyclical regarding the environment issued by Francis
last year in which he wrote about the “urgent challenge to protect our
common home” and argued that “the earth herself, burdened and laid
waste, is among the most abandoned and maltreated of our poor.”
At
the Vatican, Francis praised the work of scientists, who he said must
remain independent and emerge as leaders in fighting for climate action.
“I
would say that it falls to scientists, who work free of political,
economic or ideological interests, to develop a cultural model which can
face the crisis of climatic change and its social consequences,” he
said, “so that the vast potential of productivity will not be reserved
for only a few.” Washington Post
Trump’s victory has been an unlikely triumph for the prosperity gospel
By Michael Schulson November 30 at 6:00 AM
The election of Donald Trump has lifted fringe ideologies, such as
the alt-right, and little-known political figures, such as
Trump’s immigration adviser Kris Kobach, to new levels of national
prominence.
It has also elevated a group of evangelical Christian
leaders and traditions that are often treated as marginal.
Specifically, Trump’s victory has been an unlikely triumph for the
prosperity gospel, as well as for a handful of prosperity-oriented
preachers from the world of African American televangelism.
The
president-elect identifies as a Presbyterian. But his rhetoric during
the campaign often reflected the language of the prosperity gospel, a
diffuse American Christian movement that links faith, positive thinking
and material wealth into “the American religion of winning,” as
journalist Jeff Sharlet described it this year.
More
than once, Trump has cited the influence of minister Norman Vincent
Peale, whose concept of positive thinking is a close relative of the
prosperity gospel. And like prosperity gospel preachers, Trump made the
appeal of his personal fortune central to his pitch.
The
prosperity gospel is often associated with ostentatious fundraisers
such as Oral Roberts, Joel Osteen and Creflo Dollar, the Atlanta
megachurch pastor who tried to raise $65 million in 2015 to buy a private plane.
These
nondenominational pastors rarely become involved in politics, and they
do not wield the same institutional power as the more conventional
leaders of major evangelical denominations. Perhaps because it has no
single denominational structure, no clear leadership, and a stronger
presence among less-educated Americans and people of color, the
prosperity movement has often been treated as marginal. Read more
Obama: Marijuana should be considered a public health issue much like cigarettes and alcohol.
By Joe Vitale November 30, 2016 | 6:47pm
Marijuana should be considered a public health issue — much like cigarettes and alcohol.
That, at least, is what President Obama said in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.
“I am not somebody who believes that legalization is a panacea,”
Obama said. “But I do believe that treating this as a public-health
issue, the same way we do with cigarettes or alcohol, is the much
smarter way to deal with it.”
Echoing his past support of legalization,
the president noted that drug classifications are not changed by
“presidential edict.” Instead, he said, drug classifications are
decided “legislatively or through the DEA.”
While the federal government currently considers marijuana a Schedule 1 substance, 26 states and the District of Columbia have legalized marijuana in some form.
“It is untenable over the long term for the Justice Department or the
DEA to be enforcing a patchwork of laws, where something that’s legal
in one state could get you a 20-year prison sentence in another,” Obama
added.
In 2012, Obama said the federal government would not go after recreational marijuana users in states where the drug was legalized by voters. More

Fidel Castro was deeply influenced by Catholic teaching
By JEROME SOCOLOVSKY Nov 28 2016 03:54 pm
Fidel Castro, the Marxist revolutionary who ruled the Western Hemisphere's only communist state, acknowledged later in life that he was deeply influenced by Catholic teaching and welcomed a succession of popes to Cuba.
Despite carrying out repressive measures against the church in the wake of the 1959 Cuban Revolution, and then being excommunicated, Castro, who died Friday, saw himself as leading a struggle with some of the same noble aims as those of Christianity — including humility and concern for the poor.
"I believe Karl Marx could have subscribed to the Sermon on the Mount," he said in a long interview with a Brazilian priest published decades ago. But he added that the historic Catholic Church had been used "as a tool for domination, exploitation and oppression for centuries.
The following is a timeline of key religious events in Castro's life:
Aug. 13, 1926 • Fidel Castro is born into a moderately affluent family of sugar cane plantation owners and baptized as a Roman Catholic. His father, Angel Castro, was a self-made immigrant from Spain who had married his maid, Lina Ruz, with whom he had seven children.
Fidel Castro attends Catholic elementary school and graduates from Belen, a Mass-every-morning prep school in Havana run by Jesuit priests.
Castro would say later that the faith offered at Belen was "very dogmatic" and describe himself as having been a restless student. Nonetheless, he said, Jesuits "influenced me with their strict organization, their discipline and their values. … They influenced my sense of justice."
1959 • Castro takes power by leading a Marxist revolution. He bans religious celebrations, closes down more than 400 Catholic schools, including Belen, seizes church properties, and jails and expels Catholic priests.
1962 • The Vatican, which had excommunicated all Catholics involved with communist groups in its 1949 Decree Against Communism, adds Fidel Castro to the list of those ejected from the church.
1976 • A decade and a half after the revolution, Cuba adopts a constitution which declares the country to be an atheist state.
1991 • Castro has the constitution amended to redefine Cuba as a secular state. The Communist Party allows religious believers to become members.
1985 • Castro meets a delegation of visiting U.S. bishops and praises Christian values such as sacrifice, austerity and humility.
"I told them that if they organized a state in accord with Christian precepts, they'd create one similar to ours," he would later tell the Brazilian Dominican friar Frei Betto.
1996 • Fidel Castro visits the Vatican. During a 35-minute meeting, the Cuban leader tells St. John Paul II: "Your Holiness, I expect to see you soon in Cuba."
1998 • St. John Paul II visits Havana and meets Castro, who wore a dark suit instead of his standard military uniform. The pope talks about human rights and blasts the lack of basic freedoms in Cuba. Christmas is reinstated as a national holiday.
2012 • Pope Benedict XVI visits Havana and meets Fidel, who had relinquished power to his brother Raul, after celebrating Mass on Revolution Square. Benedict requests that Good Friday also be recognized as an official holiday.
2015 • Castro meets with Pope Francis, who is visiting Cuba on his way to the United States. The retired Cuban leader gives the pontiff a copy of "Fidel and Religion" — a 353-page book based on 23 hours of interviews between him and Betto.
Nov. 25, 2016 • Castro's death is announced on state television by brother Raul. Pope Francis calls the death "sad news." The Salt Lake Tribune

World AIDS Day: HIV Infections in Adolescents Could Double By 2030, Says UNICEF
By Lucy Westcott On 11/30/16 at 7:10 PM
The number of new HIV infections among adolescents around the world
is set to rise sharply unless more is done to fight the epidemic,
according to a new report from Unicef.
The U.N. children’s agency
said annual new infections in adolescents are projected to increase from
250,000 in 2015 to nearly 400,000 in 2030 in its report, launched to
coincide with World AIDS Day on December 1. AIDS remains a leading cause
of death among adolescents: In 2015, 41,000 children aged 10 and 19
died from AIDS, according to Unicef. If the trend continues, it could
result in as many as 740,000 additional HIV infections among adolescents
in the next 14 years.
Girls are particularly vulnerable to the
disease and account for three out of four new AIDS infections among
adolescents aged 15 to 19. Around one-third of new HIV infections occur
outside of sub-Saharan Africa. Newsweek
The Chapter Ninth of Ezequiel Will Be Literally Fulfilled
Slaughter of the Idolaters
1He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
2And,
behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth
toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one
man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
3And
the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon
he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed
with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
4And
the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the
midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that
sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst
thereof.
5And
to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the
city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
6Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
7And
he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the
slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
8And
it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I
fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy
all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?
9Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is
exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of
perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the
LORD seeth not.
10And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.
11And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me. Ezekiel 9 KJV
"Study the ninth chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are sleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience." Mega-rich preparing for disaster
In an ominous sign for social stability, it’s the mega-wealthy who have become the most enthusiastic “preppers.”
The left-wing Daily Beast reports affluent European elites are turning to bodyguards in response to a rash of high-profile street crimes and terrorist attacks.
The rich are also in the vanguard of a new wave of interest in survival shelters and underground bunkers, with ever more elaborate and fortified enclosures being constructed.
About 50 miles northwest of Dallas, an entire survivalist luxury community is being planned that
features athletic facilities, a polo field and a clubhouse. It also
contains more unusual features such as communal greenhouses, an
air-purification system, underground shelters and, according to the
Houston Chronicle, a “DNA vault.”
The British Daily Mirror also reports an American company is creating $1.5 million “earthship” shelters designed to survive radiation outbreaks or a killer virus.
Widespread media reports as well as independent investigations from groups such as New World Wealth
suggest wealthy people around the globe are quietly moving away from
major cities because of fears of social instability. Increasing crime,
terrorism and rising racial tensions have all been identified as factors
driving the exodus. Even the Daily Beast reported the
introduction of large numbers of Muslim refugees into Europe has made
once prosperous areas fraught with danger, in the opinion of some
security experts. Read More

A 15-Year long mini ice age could be due to hit the Northern hemisphere in just Four years as the sun prepares for 'hibernation'
By
Nathan Rao
A team of experts have warned that huge seismic events, including
volcanic eruptions, plunging global temperatures and destabilisation of
the Earth's crust will become more common after worrying changes to the
surface of the Sun were recorded.
It could take up to 15 years for solar activity to return to normal with extreme weather and freezing temperatures continuing until 2035.
The warning will infuriate environmental campaigners who argue by 2030 the world faces increased sea levels and flooding due to glacial melt at the poles.
Solar activity, measured by the appearance of sun spots, has been declining at a greater rate than at any other time in history, it has emerged.
The Sun is now without spots for the first time in five years after 21 days of minimal activity were observed through the course of 2016.

As drought takes over state, Denver nears record snowless streak
Posted 7:58 pm, November 10, 2016, by Matt Makens
DENVER — Colorado has been fully taken over by drought. And for the
metro area, things are moving into a historic snowless territory.
The drought has dramatically expanded recently. Thursday’s drought
monitor indicates that more than 98 percent of the state is in a
drought, up from only 10 percent at the start of the year.
For most, a dry weather pattern took over in midsummer when the rains ended.
And little snow has materialized. The mountains have had barely 5 to
10 inches across most of the ranges. Denver has yet to see its first
snow.
In Denver, the last snow was May 1. The number of days without
snowfall is at 193 as of Thursday, the eighth-longest streak since 1948.
In 1992, Denver went 211 days without snow and 2016 might rival that record.
The latest measurable snowfall in Denver was Nov. 21, 1934 and that
record might fall this year unless the persistent warm, dry weather
pattern breaks down soon. Fox
Thousands of dead bunker fish stranded in the Shinnecock Canal on Long Island.
By
Jennifer Earl
CBS News
November 15, 2016, 5:31 PM
Long Islanders thought winter had arrived early when they walked near the Shinnecock Canal in Hampton Bays, New York, on Monday.
The
water looked like it was covered in a thick sheet of ice, but upon
closer examination, residents could see it was actually thousands of
silver bunker fish wiggling on top of each other, struggling to survive.
Dozens of people posted pictures and videos of the unusual sight on Facebook.
“Strange phenomenon. Cause of man or nature?” local resident Gustavo Zuluaga Buritica asked.
“Wow never seen anything like it!” Long Islander Eric Reilly commented.
As videos of the rare sight go viral, people are now looking for answers.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation told CBS News on Tuesday that they are monitoring the incident.
“No
additional fish kills have been reported overnight or today,” said
Erica Ringewald, the department’s media relations director. “Some dead
bunker are floating in the Shinnecock Bay but most are believed to have
sunk to the bottom.”
The town of Southampton has been cleaning up
the dead fish on the beaches and DEC Marine Resources is arranging for
aerial overflights to track the movement of the dead fish, Ringewald
explained.
“Southampton worked with the County Department of
Public Works to open and close the canal to keep the oxygen levels up
while allowing some fish to escape,” she said.
While state environmental officials didn’t identify a cause for the massive die-off, local experts have an idea.
“There
was a big school of blue fish in the bay earlier on Sunday,” Stony
Brook Southampton Marine Science Center manager Chris Paparo told CBS New York.
“Blue fish eat bunker and they chase the bunker into the canal like
this and the locks are closed, fish can’t escape, and when they get
pushed in they deplete the oxygen.” CBS
Injecting blood from young people into old mice improves the mice’s brain power

breakthroughs for people suffering from degenerative conditions such as
Alzheimer’s Disease.
The findings, which have yet to be peer-reviewed, were presented at the Society for Neuroscience annual meeting in San Diego, California on Monday, the New Scientist reports.
Researchers
from anti-ageing research company Alkahest took blood samples from
18-year-old humans and injected the plasma into 12-month-old mice twice a
week for three weeks.
A one-year-old mouse is roughly equivalent
to a 50-year-old human, and by that age mice have already started to
show signs of ageing such as deteriorating memory and being less
physically active.
When injected with human plasma, the old mice
began to behave like younger mice, running around in open spaces. Their
memory also showed improvements when tested in a special maze that
measures spatial learning and memory.
The elixir of youth appears to be in the blood plasma. A previous study
had involved surgically conjoining young mice with old mice so that
they shared a blood supply for several weeks. Older mice received the
younger one’s blood and vice versa.
Old mice that received young
blood experienced a boom in the growth of brain cells in the
hippocampus, a part of the brain that plays a key role in memory.
Meanwhile, receiving old blood had the opposite effect on the brains of
young mice.
When researchers at Alkahest examined the effect on
the mice’s brains after receiving human blood they also found evidence
of new cells being created in the hippocampus.
The team believes
that the young plasma appears to be the key factor in reversing the
effects of ageing and says their method has the potential to be
developed into a treatment for human patients. A trial is already
underway with people suffering from Alzheimer’s.
Lawsuits Against Monsanto’s Roundup
'
By Catherine J. Frompovich November 11, 2016
When I published the article, “Glyphosate Contaminates the Global Ecosystem: The Damning New PAN Report,”
I mentioned a law firm as a resource because of the lawsuits it has
filed on behalf of persons damaged by the use of Monsanto’s herbicide
Roundup®. Roundup’s prime active ingredient is glyphosate, a chemical
that the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research
on Cancer [IARC] designated a “probable human carcinogen.”
That law firm is Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman, Consumer
Attorneys of Los Angeles, California. The firm’s Director of Public
Relations and Marketing emailed a thank you for mentioning that lawsuit.
Robin McCall’s email prompted me to want to know more about their
clients and the lawsuits, so I asked her some questions about the firm’s
glyphosate case load.
Incidentally, there is a Spanish language link “Demanda Monsanto Roundup” for folks who may want to access the law firm’s information in that language.
What follows are the questions I asked that Ms. McCall so graciously
answered, which I think ought to give readers some “food for thought,”
especially if you have used Roundup® and have contracted non-Hodgkin
lymphoma. Read More
Water is the essence of life
By Rishma Parpia. Published November 5, 2016 | Health, Holistic Health
Water is the essence of life. The human body cannot
survive without water because it is so critical for all bodily
functions. In fact, on average, the body of an adult human being
contains 60 percent of water.1 Not
drinking adequate amounts of water can have such a detrimental effect
on overall health that a reduction in 10 percent of your normal body
water percentage can lead to a medical emergency.2
Despite water’s important role, many people do not consume enough of
this liquid. While many people believe they are consuming enough water,
they may not realize that they are indeed dehydrated. Consuming soda,
sugary drinks, juice, sports drinks and other beverages does not replace
the body’s need for plain water. According to research, 75 percent of
Americans are in a chronic state of dehydration.3
Dehydration affects the body in a plethora of ways ranging from mild
effects such as dry skin and constipation to moderate effects such as
headaches and fatigue to severe effects such as low blood pressure,
organ failure and shock.4 However, dehydration is also one of the easiest conditions to reverse that tends to be overlooked by medical professionals.3
The Benefits of Water in Strengthening the Immune System
The immune system is our body’s physical, chemical and cellular
defense against invasion by pathogens. It is primarily designed to
protect us from disease but a weakened immune system can no doubt lead
us to fall sick.5
Nevertheless, there are several ways to strengthen your immune
system—adequate water in-take being one of the simplest ways to ensure
healthy functioning of the body. Outlined below are a few of a numerous
ways in which water is beneficial to your immune function.
Excretes Toxins and Waste
Water plays a key role in the excretory system. It allows your kidneys to filter toxins, remove waste, and transport nutrients to other parts of the body. By not drinking the right amount of water, toxins accumulate throughout the body thus compromising your immune system.6 The same concept applies to the digestive system. Water assists in softening your stool to promote bowel movements to eliminate waste material. Lack of water will result in a dry colon and accumulation of waste thus leading to constipation.6

Oxygenates Blood
Drinking enough water on a daily basis is very important for oxygenation of the blood and for transporting blood and other bodily fluids throughout the body.7 In a well-hydrated body, oxygen-rich blood circulates optimally delivering essential nutrients to all tissues. Without adequate water, all bodily functions become ineffective leading to symptoms such as fatigue.7

Assists in the Production of Lymph
The lymphatic system plays a key role in reaching for optimal immune function. It protects the body from outside threats and disease-causing inflammation.8 Lymph is a fluid that is part of the lymphatic systems and contains infection-fighting white blood cells. Lymph fluid is 95 percent water; therefore, water is essential for the production of lymph.9 Not drinking enough water compromises the production of lymph, thus increasing your susceptibility to infection.9

How Much Water Do We Need?
The question is how much water should
you be drinking everyday to maintain optimal health? While this is a
simple question, the answer is not as straight forward. For several
years, we have heard the repeated guideline of drinking eight 8 oz.
glasses per day.10
According to some experts, this one-size fits all guideline may not
necessarily be accurate since every individual is unique in terms of
their weight, height, activity level, etc.10 Environmental factors such as weather conditions will also factor in how much water you should be consuming.10
Joseph Mercola, DO outlines the following guidelines to determine whether you are drinking enough water per day:
- The color of your urine is perhaps the best indicator of how much water you should be consuming. Dark colored urine indicates that your kidneys are retaining fluid, which means you need to drink more water. Ideally, you need to drink enough water to turn your urine into a light yellow color.10
- Use thirst as a guide to determine how much water you need to drink per day. Once the body loses 1-2 percent of water, you will begin to feel thirsty. Note that at this point your body is already in its dehydration stage; therefore, do not ignore this signal.10
- Frequency of urination is another indicator of whether you are drinking adequate amount of water. Urinating 7 to 8 times a day is considered healthy. If you haven’t urinated in hours or if your urine is scant, this is a good indication that you need more water.10
Replacing other beverages with pure water is the first step to living a healthy lifestyle. Your body will thank you for it.

Incurable Me: How Big Pharma Is Controlling Our Health
No
one likes to be sick, or see others around them be sick. Depending on
the severity of the illness, it can be an uncomfortable, sobering, and
sometimes devastating occurrence. And in our modern day world, it seems
we can’t put anything on our skin or in our bodies, or even breathe the
air around us, without reading about the dangers we face as a result.
With an ever-growing desire for profit
and a greedy hold on scientific advancements, nature’s cures seem a
thing of the past — or at least that’s what large pharmaceutical
companies controlling our well-being would like us to believe.
Dr. Kenneth Stoller’s book, Incurable Me,
exposes some of medicine’s biggest, and most protected, secrets, while
bringing to light how profit and shareholders control medical practice.
The Western world has
largely abandoned ancient medicine, but some people are questioning the
wisdom of this shift. Doctors, healers, and health enthusiasts, along
with anyone skeptical of ‘the system,’ have begun returning to our
healing roots and rediscovering nature’s secrets. But why, if there are
so many adverse side effects, and so much money thrown into big pharma’s
medicines, are people not overwhelmingly aware of their options?
In Stoller’s book, he
discusses how the best evidence in medical research rarely makes its way
into clinical practice because of the lack of profit it will bring. And
when breakthrough studies present the facts that we need to step away
from the grasp of big pharma, they are typically buried or altered
because they conflict with powerful financial interests.
And then there is the
Centers for Disease Control, which one would like to believe has our
best interest in mind. We all have one life, and one planet to live it
on, so why not work together to learn the best ways to be and stay
healthy, as well as combat sickness in times of need?
Money is its own powerful
and addictive drug that has swayed so many decisions, created so much
controversy, and, undoubtedly, led to many deaths. Stoller notes the
close ties between the Centers for Disease Control and big pharma,
arguing that they hinder our health by limiting, altering, and hiding
important research. Profit has become the bottom line and our health,
necessarily, a casualty.
Incurable Me is an important read for anyone intrigued by
the workings of modern medicine. A detailed look at how valuable medical
research is typically passed over for more profitable avenues, as well
as company interests, Stoller’s book is truly an eye-opener.
Where would we be if the medical community actually had access to the very best evidence without the pressures and power of big pharma, insurance, and government influences? Would we be healthier, more aware of what our bodies need? More in tune with nature’s medicines?

Stoller’s book clearly
connects the dots between commerce and medical research, meanwhile
exposing treatments for some of the top concerning modern diseases like
Lyme disease, brain trauma, dementia, and autism.
Stephanie Seneff, a senior research scientist at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, called the book “timely, colorful, and informative,” describing it as “a
wealth of knowledge to set you straight on what’s up with vaccines,
toxic metals, pesticides, and autoimmune disease, and why you can no
longer trust your doctor to keep you well.”
Simply put, Dr. Stoller
presents the bigger picture of how money and greed form an overwhelming
power that harms, rather than heals, the human race. Incurable Me reveals the need for the medical profession to open their minds to the root of the cause in order for our world to be healthier. Collective Evolution

Christ will not be found at the theater
Many of the amusements popular in the world today, even with those who claim to be Christians, tend to the same end as did those of the heathen. There are indeed few among them that Satan does not turn to account in destroying souls. Through the drama he has worked for ages to excite passion and glorify vice. The opera, with its fascinating display and bewildering music, the masquerade, the dance, the card table, Satan employs to break down the barriers of principle and open the door to sensual indulgence. In every gathering for pleasure where pride is fostered or appetite indulged, where one is led to forget God and lose sight of eternal interests, there Satan is binding his chains about the soul.
The true Christian will not desire to enter any place of amusement or engage in any diversion upon which he cannot ask the blessing of God. He will not be found at the theater, the billiard hall, or the bowling saloon. He will not unite with the gay waltzers or indulge in any other bewitching pleasure that will banish Christ from the mind.
To those who plead for these diversions we answer, We cannot indulge in them in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. The blessing of God would not be invoked upon the hour spent at the theater or in the dance. No Christian would wish to meet death in such a place. No one would wish to be found there when Christ shall come. Adventist Home p. 515, 516
